NOURISHING YOUR CYCLE - PRIVATE WORKSHOPS

Join me for a discussion about optimal nutrition for each phase of your menstrual cycle. We’ll talk about the best spices, herbs and whole foods to enjoy as you move through the month in order to optimise wellness and hormonal balance. We’ll learn about how to track and understand your cycle and what is happening hormonally during each phase, and how to eat, and care for yourself during each phase. We’ll learn about herbal tea infusions for hormonal health how to create our own cycle wellness tea infusions at home.

Everyone who joins will receive a digital ‘micro cookbook’ with a delicious nourishing meal and tea infusion recipe for each phase of your cycle.

This workshop will also include a Q&A. You can submit questions ahead of time.

About this Event

This virtual workshop will focus on all ways to "harness our hormones" to feel our best during each phase of our cycles. We'll begin with a restorative and calming yoga flow led by the talented & inspiring Pamela. The second part of the workshop will be an interactive nutrition demo (that you can participate in from your own kitchen!) working with various ingredients to enhance wellness throughout your cycle, especially during your period.

We'll focus on easing digestive discomforts, boosting mood and restoring energy by creating some herbal tea tonics and nutritionally optimal snacks for hormonal balance.

Following the yoga & food crafting we'll have a discussion about all things cycle; hormones, period hacks & empowerment -- no topic is off limits!

Join us for an evening celebrating fragrant spices that remind us of our Winter holidays. Spices such as fennel, cinnamon, cloves are all associated with the festive season but are also key ingredients in some of the world's most famous spice blends!

In this workshop, Melanie will guide you in the process of making 3 custom spice blends: Chinese 5 Spice, Garam Masala & a Middle Eastern Hawaij. She will talk you through the culinary and wellness benefits of a range of spices and help you to create signature blends to take home, give as gifts, or to keep yourself to cook with for loved ones. If making blends for gift giving we will also give you the opportunity to pick from our dried collections and make present toppers.

With mulled hot drinks and tasty treats this workshop is set to brighten the darker months.

Join us for an evening of delicious cheeses (sourced locally and from abroad) paired perfectly with some of the best and most unique beers that People's Pint has to offer! We'll be exploring the backstories of the various beers cheeses we'll taste with British-trained "Gourmet Cheese Expert" Melanie Hadida and the brilliant beer barons of People's Pint.

The evening includes a five-course cheese tasting menu paired with complimenting People's Pint beers--all brewed in-house at their hip brewery in The Junction--as well as some local honey and fresh herbs. Participants will be provided with menus and scorecards to discuss and rate the best pairings of the evening!
